NGS to Offer Webinars
The NGS has begun to offer continuing education webinars. With an internet connection and telephone line, this exciting new technology allows you to listen to a live speaker, watch the PowerPoint presentation and interact with the speaker through on-line questions. We have conducted several webinars for a small group of optometrists, who highly praised the opportunity to hear first-rate speakers from the comfort of their home or office.
We have contacted several states for a determination if these courses qualify for “live” or “internet” CE hours. As we await more state responses, we will be offering webinars free of charge to NGS members to test out the system and get feedback. If you would like to participate in these webinars, join the National Glaucoma Society as a full member and your e-mail will be added to our mailing list to receive information about specific dates of upcoming webinars.
