Implications of Macro-Disc Asymmetry in Glaucoma Suspects

The detection of cup to disc asymmetry has long been recognized as a diagnostic finding in glaucoma. Recent studies have indicated the importance of vertical c/d asymmetries. This original study indicates that optic disc area asymmetry may also be a significant factor when evaluating patients demonstrating enlarged (macro) optic disc areas.
