The Prevalence of Open-angle Glaucoma Among Blacks and Whites 73 Years and Older
The fourth round of the Salisbury Eye Evaluation Glaucoma Study reported that the prevalence of glaucoma increased significantly for those 75 years and older compared to those 73-74 years of age.

Oxidative Stress in Glaucoma: A Burden of Evidence
This synthesis of several studies discusses the role of oxidative stress in glaucoma. Evidence from these studies suggests that oxidative free radicals, whether induced by ischemia or elevation of IOP, result in apoptosis and death of retinal ganglion cells and progressive vision loss in glaucoma.
